The Big entrance

2026

In this new creation for the Junior Company CND Luxembourg, Anne-Mareike Hess explores the art of making an entrance – that precise moment when a body steps into view, opens itself to the gaze and captures attention.

Drawing on her exploration of the body as a mirror of society, the choreographer seeks to shed light on the codes that shape our gestures, our appearance and the way we are perceived. Driven by a playful, mischievous energy, the dancers take over the stage as a playground where power, visibility and recognition are constantly negotiated. Figures emerge and assert themselves, testing postures, attitudes and ways of being in the world – all attempts to exist in relation to others’ eyes.
